Stay in the know with the latest updates on Byron Writers Festival, year-round events, workshops, competitions and news.

We respectfully acknowledge that Byron Writers Festival takes place on the traditional lands of the Arakwal Bumberbin Peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. We pay respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge them as the original storytellers of the lands and waterways of this Country.
Osher Günsberg is a best-selling author whose storytelling talent has anchored his 30-year media career (Australian Idol, The Bachelor, The Masked Singer). His new book, So What? Now What?, is a mental health toolkit and the compelling follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2018 memoir, Back, After The Break (nominated for ABIA Book of the Year). Osher connects with audiences weekly on his podcast, Better Than Yesterday, and is a passionate advocate for climate action and mental health.
