Nikki Gemmell

Nikki Gemmell is known as one of Australia's most provocative and honest writers, who writes novels, memoirs, columns and screenplays.

She's the bestselling author of some 20 books, including Shiver, The Bride Stripped Bare, Dissolve and The Ripping Tree. Her latest novel is Wing, a searing examination of what it means to be female today, through the lens of an Australian high school.

She was born in Wollongong, lived in London for many years, and is now Sydney based. Her books have been translated into 22 languages.
