Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that Byron Writers Festival takes place on the traditional lands of the Arakwal Bumberbin Peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. We pay respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge them as the original storytellers of the lands and waterways of this Country.

Kayte Nunn

Kayte Nunn was brought up in the UK and US and is a former magazine editor and the author of eight novels, including the international bestselling The Botanist's Daughter, which was the winner of the 2020 Winston Graham Historical Fiction Prize and selected as the 2023-24 NEHS Common Reader. Her most recent novel, The Palazzo, has been optioned for international screen adaptation. Her books have been translated into 12 languages.

Kayte lives in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia.
