Karena Wynn-Moylan

Karena Wynn-Moylan trained as a filmmaker, is a multi-award winning fine artist and also composes music for film and TV. Her broadcast career began with arts magazine show Arts Canvass in 1996 on BayFM in Byron Bay. Ten years ago, she inaugurated The Narratives Library, broadcasting authors reading five minute excerpts from their own work recorded at writers festivals. She then established The Narratives Library website to enable the recordings to be permanently available rather than be an ephemeral incident. To date, the website has recordings of over 600 authors readings plus interviews.

Karena was mentioned in NSW Parliament for her establishment of The Narratives Website, and awarded a Hermes Gold Award for Web Design. Karena's audio documentary, Memories of Sarajevo, has received multiple international awards including a CBAA award, an Internationale Women in Radio and Television award, and a Bronze award in the New York Festival's World's Best Radio Programs.

She is currently a jury member for the New York Festivals World’s Best Radio Programs. She was recently awarded Best Specialist Program in the Australian Audio Awards.
