George Megalogenis is an author and journalist with more than three decades’ experience in the media. His book, The Australian Moment, won the 2013 Prime Minister’s Literary Award for Non-fiction and the 2012 Walkley Award for Non-fiction, and formed the basis for his ABC documentary series Making Australia Great. He also wrote and presented the ABC special on Malcolm Fraser, Life Wasn’t Meant to be Easy.
George is also the author of Faultlines, The Longest Decade, Australia’s Second Chance, Balancing Act and The Football Solution. He has written four Quarterly Essays, the most of recent of which was No. 96 Minority Report: the New Shape of Australian Politics.Among the newspapers he has written for are The Australian, The New York Times, The Age and Sydney Morning Herald.
