With an unceasing appetite for the great things in life, Adelaide journalist and author David Sly has pursued stories that explore the vast domains of food, wine, travelling and human endeavour. Through a 45-year career, he obtained a degree in Gastronomy, writes and engages with music, literature, theatre, comedy, snow skiing, cycling and all manner of sports – and has published several biographies and history books. His latest book is a biography of celebrated chef Cheong Liew – Inside My Food: Unlocking the Secrets of 100 Extraordinary Dishes.
