We respectfully acknowledge that Byron Writers Festival takes place on the traditional lands of the Arakwal Bumberbin Peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. We pay respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge them as the original storytellers of the lands and waterways of this Country.

Dakota Feirer

Dakota Feirer (he/him) is a Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr descendent, emerging writer, creative and educator. Having recently completed a Masters at New York University (NYU), last year Dakota released his debut poetry collection, Arsenic Flower. Dakota believes in healing Country and our communities through art and storytelling.
