Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that Byron Writers Festival takes place on the traditional lands of the Arakwal Bumberbin Peoples of the Bundjalung Nation. We pay respects to Elders past and present, and acknowledge them as the original storytellers of the lands and waterways of this Country.

Writer

Chris Harrigan

Chris Harrigan is an editor and writer from Melbourne/Naarm. He is the founding editor of The Story, a magazine about stories in their stranger, more unexpected forms, and Chief Editor at Fireside Agency, a communications agency passionate about storytelling.

Previously, he was the editor of Smith Journal, a magazine about people with singular, sometimes eccentric but always deeply compelling fixations. His writing has appeared in frankie, Junkee, The Age, Broadsheet, and a veritable graveyard of cult publications that no longer exist.
