Writer

Anna Featherstone

Often described as a ‘book fairy godmother’, Anna Featherstone is a guiding presence for authors as they write, publish and market their books. An author advocate and mentor, she generously sprinkles knowledge, nurture and nous, helping writers at all stages navigate creativity, opportunities, and the realities of author business.

A publishing consultant for the Australian Society of Authors (ASA) and the non-fiction advisor and podcast host for the global organisation the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi), she has written five books including the memoir Honey Farm Dreaming, Small Farm Success Australia, and Look-It’s Your Book!, Australia’s most comprehensive guide for indie authors. Her current work in progress is about a sensible and savvy approach to book and author marketing.

An enthusiastic champion of writers–no matter their publishing pathway–she’s also a judge of the Australian Society of Travel Writers Awards and the Australian Business Book Awards. When she’s not sharing book love, Anna’s into ethnobotany, bees, the big issues of our time, and bouquets of tulsi and lemon myrtle.
