Amanda Reichelt-Brushett

Amanda Reichelt-Brushett is a professor at Southern Cross University and has an international research profile with over 100 publications in scientific journals. She has 30 years of experience in academia invested in undergraduate teaching and post-graduate training. Her grant success is linked to research on enhancing our understanding of sources, fate and consequences of contaminants in our environment and includes several subthemes:


•        ecotoxicology and risk assessment,
•        water quality assessment and management,
•        catchment management,
•        ecosystem restoration.


She is editor and co-author of a 2023 textbook published by Springer titled Marine Pollution - monitoring, management and mitigation. and the immediate past president of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemisty (SETAC). This global society is dedicated to advancing environmental science and science-informed decision-making through collaboration, communication, education and leadership.
